Pop and Pip
In 2018 I was commissioned to mosaic a penguin sculpture as part of Maggie’s Penguin Parade, a public arts trail organised in collaboration with Wild in Art. ‘Pop and Pip’ was one of 80 penguins on display in the Dundee area over the summer of 2018. At the end of the event the penguins were auctioned to raise money for Maggie’s Centre in Dundee.
Over 12500 glass tiles were used to decorate this sculpture. The design was inspired by emperor penguins and how they raise their chicks in extremely harsh conditions.
